The First Crocus of Spring

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” -Anais Nin

Our first crocus of spring popped up this morning! 😊

No Spring Chicken!

The shadows are long and the sun is setting, but these smart girls know how to get to the long green grass by the barn, outside the pasture. There are times it’s good not to be a spring chicken! 😊

It’s a peaceful Sunday morning, and it seems an appropriate time to say this: I was a little nervous to start this page. The internet is a big place! But you all have been so supportive, and encouraging. I am really enjoying writing about what I love, showing you what I am excited about. Sharing my journey with you all is helping me to appreciate the beautiful moments all the more. I know I have a lot to be grateful for. I also know I make lots of mistakes. But I am learning so much from y’all. Thank you for sharing your experience and wisdom. Thank you for being gracious and gentle with me. Thank you for making sharing such a joy. I am so grateful. ❤️

Away from the Farm

So this is the part of the day where I get to scrape the mud off, forget about being a mom, or a hayseed, and feel like a city girl for at least a few minutes. I used to hate working out. Now I see it as a luxury. (Amazing how having four kids will change your perspective!) We take such good care of all our little peeps, human and animal. We gotta remember to take care of ourselves too!
